St. John’s, NL — A 26-year-old man was arrested following a disturbance on Beothuk Street late yesterday, which led to a brief foot chase and significant property damage.
Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to reports of a disturbance and arrived to find a man fleeing the scene despite apparent injuries. Officers pursued and apprehended him before transporting him to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The incident resulted in a smashed window at a residence and damage to a vehicle. Following an investigation, the man was charged with uttering threats, mischief, and breaching a release order. He was later taken to the city lockup, where he remains in custody awaiting a court appearance.
