St. John’s, NL – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is investigating a hit-and-run motor vehicle collision that left a cyclist seriously injured in St. John’s late Monday night.
On March 24, at approximately 11 p.m., officers responded to reports of a collision on Hamilton Avenue near the intersection with Shaw Street. Upon arrival, police determined that a male cyclist had been struck by a vehicle, which then fled the scene. The cyclist sustained serious physical injuries and was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
The vehicle involved in the incident is described as a white Hyundai sedan. It was reportedly traveling west on Hamilton Avenue near Shaw Street prior to the collision.
RNC collision analysts are actively investigating and are requesting assistance from the public.
