St. John’s, NL – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC), in collaboration with Memorial University’s School of Pharmacy, is hosting a community pill drop to help residents safely dispose of unused or expired medications.
The event will take place on Friday, March 28, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at RNC Headquarters, 1 Fort Townshend, St. John’s. Members of the public are encouraged to bring medications for proper disposal, reducing the risk of misuse and environmental contamination.
Accepted items include prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, antibiotics, epi-pens, and narcotics. These can be in various forms, including capsules, tablets, vials, creams, ointments, sachets, and bottles.
This initiative aims to promote public safety and responsible medication disposal.
