Lane Closure on Cloverleaf Overpass Begins April 2

Construction on the Cloverleaf Overpass will resume on Wednesday, April 2, affecting westbound traffic on Pitts Memorial Drive (Route 2). The westbound lane heading toward Conception Bay South will be reduced to one lane to accommodate essential bridge rehabilitation work.

The repairs, aimed at maintaining the overpass’s structural integrity, are expected to continue until October. Eastbound traffic toward downtown St. John’s and the Outer Ring Road will not be affected at this time. However, additional lane reductions may be announced as the project progresses.

Motorists are urged to drive cautiously and follow all traffic control measures in place. To minimize delays, drivers are encouraged to consider alternate routes where possible.
