Shots Fired in Grand Falls-Windsor: RCMP Investigating Targeted Incident

Grand Falls-Windsor The Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP is investigating a targeted shooting incident that occurred Friday evening, April 4, 2025, in a residential area of the town.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., police received a report of multiple shots fired at a residence on Suvla Road. Investigators believe the shots originated from nearby Monchy Road. A male suspect, described as wearing a mask over his face, fled the scene on foot and is believed to have been picked up by a waiting vehicle.

In response to the incident, RCMP NL issued a public alert notification and shared updates via social media, advising residents in the affected area to shelter in place. The shelter order was lifted shortly afterward when officers determined the shooting was a targeted incident with no ongoing threat to the general public.

The investigation is being led by RCMP NL’s West District General Investigation Section (GIS). Officers are now asking for the public’s assistance as they work to identify the individuals responsible.

Residents and businesses in the area of Suvla Road and Monchy Road are asked to check any available surveillance or dash cam footage from Friday, April 4, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Investigators are particularly interested in any video that may have captured the suspect, vehicle movement, or suspicious activity.
