Travel is not advised today on the Great Northern Peninsula or through central Newfoundland due to poor driving conditions. On the Avalon Peninsula, roads are generally bare and wet, with some slushy areas.
In eastern Labrador, roads remain snow-covered with icy and slushy sections. The highway between Lodge Bay and Red Bay is currently closed. Conditions in western Labrador are more favorable, with bare and dry roads, though icy patches are reported.
Marine Atlantic has cancelled all crossings scheduled for this morning. The MV Kamutik W and MV Astron W are out of service, while the MV Qajaq W is operating but behind schedule.
Airports in St. John’s, Gander, and Deer Lake are currently reporting all flights on time.
