Stephenville, NL – Bay St. George RCMP are investigating an incident involving an airsoft-style firearm that was fired at members of the Stephenville Fire Department earlier this week.
At approximately 7:20 p.m. on June 3, officers responded to a report from the Stephenville Fire Department that three males in a black Honda Civic had driven by the fire station and discharged an airsoft or BB gun at two firefighters who were standing outside. One firefighter was struck in the head.
A short time later, police located the suspect vehicle and arrested three male individuals. Officers also seized three airsoft guns from the vehicle.
The suspects were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in court on charges including:

Assault with a weapon

Pointing a firearm

Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
The investigation remains ongoing, and police say further charges may be laid.
