St. John’s, NL – The 2025 East Coast Music Awards (ECMAs) officially launch tonight in downtown St. John’s, transforming the city into the epicentre of Atlantic Canada’s vibrant music scene. Over five exciting days, more than 100 artists will perform across multiple venues, while industry leaders, fans, and emerging musicians gather for concerts, showcases, networking sessions, and award presentations. With genres ranging from folk and rock to hip hop, traditional, and electronic, the ECMAs offer something for every music lover and serve as a powerful celebration of East Coast artistry, culture, and community.
Opening Night: Kickoff Party at JAG Soundhouse
The festivities begin this evening with the Kickoff Party, presented by Atlantic Lottery, at the JAG Soundhouse. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the lineup includes high-energy performances by The Irish Descendants, Mick Davis & Thin Love, and With Violet.
Thursday: 37th East Coast Music Awards Gala
On Thursday, May 8, the spotlight turns to the 37th East Coast Music Awards Gala, presented by Rogers, at the Mary Brown’s Centre. The star-studded event will include performances from Classified, Shanneyganock, Measha Brueggergosman-Lee, Kellie Loder, and The Ennis Sisters, among others. Tickets range from $46.00 to $80.50, with VIP tables also available for purchase.

Sunday, May 11: The Dairy Farmers of Canada ECMA Fan Fest takes over George Street from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., featuring outdoor performances by Rachel Cousins, DeeDee Austin, and Neon Dreams, alongside artist meet-and-greets, giveaways, and activities for all ages.
