RCMP Investigating Suspected Arson in Natuashish

NATUASHISH, NL  — The Natuashish RCMP is investigating a suspected case of arson following a house fire in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Police responded to a report of a fire at a residence on Pokue Street shortly after 2:15 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found the home fully engulfed in flames. The homeowner was not present at the time of the incident.

Preliminary evidence collected at the scene suggests the fire was deliberately set. Investigators are now appealing to the public for any information that may assist in the case.

Residents in the area are asked to review any available surveillance footage from around the time of the fire and report any suspicious activity.
